Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19945346C1] A process for the smoothing of board surfaces. The board surface is heated to the binder melting point and held at a constant temperature. The heating is effected by an external warm air flow, the smoothing tool, and friction between the board and the tool. Fibers in the board are held down by the rotating smoothing tool while the molten binder is rubbed into the board surface. The board surface is heated to the binder melting point and held at a constant temperature, according to the temperature of a smoothing tool (2). Fibers in the board are held down by the rotating smoothing tool while the molten binder is rubbed into the board surface. Board heating is effected indirectly through the smoothing tool, directly through an external warm air flow and directly through friction between the moving tool and the board. The temperature at the smoothing tool is measured without contact. An Independent claim is also included for the process equipment which includes: a) a smoothing tool (2), connected by a rotating drive to a tool holder (6); b) a heating system comprising a warm air channel (3) with a nozzle (12) and a cold air channel (4) with a nozzle (13), both nozzles being to the side of and directed at the tool; c) a contactless temperature sensor (5).

Beim erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren wird die Wärme durch Warmluft und Reibung zwischen dem Glättwerkzeuges (2) und Bearbeitungsmaterial eingebracht, wobei das Bearbeitungmaterial vorgewärmt wird. Die Fasern werden durch ein rotierendes Glättwerkzeug in das Bindemittel gerieben und die Prozeßtemperatur wird fortlaufend gemessen. Die entsprechende Vorrichtung besteht aus einem drehbar mit der Werkzeugaufnahme (6) verbundenen Glättwerkzeug (2), wobei eine Warmluftdüse (12), eine Kaltluftdüse (13) und ein berührungslos arbeitender Wärmesensor (5) auf das Glättwerkzeug gerichtet sind. <IMAGE>
