Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1086924A1] A coil pallet (4) fitted with corner fastenings for handling with a crane holds a coil (2) without ties. A short roller pallet (3) holds the coil pallet securely in place with or without a coil. The roller pallet links to a transporter truck (1) and can detach from it. These form a rigid coil-transporting unit with a common turning circle. The roller pallet and the coil pallet fixed on it form a unit moving horizontally and vertically for picking up and depositing coils.
