Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19927077A1] A hot-melt adhesive containing component (A), or (A) and (B), or (B) and (C), or (A), (B) and (C), in which (A) is a polymer with acid hydrogen-reactive groups and radiation-polymerisable groups, (B) is a polymer with acid hydrogen-reactive groups only and (C) is a low-mol. wt. compound with radiation-polymerisable groups. Hot-melt adhesive with a melting point (m.pt.) of at least 40 deg C, containing a component (A), or components (A) and (B), or (B) and (C), or (A), (B) and (C), in which (a) component (A) is a polymer with a mol. wt. (Mn) of at least 5000 containing functional group(s) which react with compounds with acid hydrogen atoms and a functional group which is polymerized by UV or electron beam radiation; (b) component (B) is a polymer as defined in (a) but without radiation-polymerisable groups and (c) component (C) is a compound with a UV- or electron beam-polymeriszble group and a mol. wt. of less than 5000. Independent claims are also included for: (a) a process for the production of a composite material with at least 2 layers, in which the above adhesive is coated onto one side of the first layer at a temperature of at least 40 deg C, the second layer is laminated onto the adhesive-coated side and the material obtained is irradiated with UV or an electron beam; (b) at least 2-layer composite material with a thickness greater than that of conventional film-laminating materials, in which a strong bond is produced between at least two layers with this adhesive.
