Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0064013A1] The invention relates to a plug-in connection (11), comprising a first connector (12) which can be sealingly coupled with a second connector (13). The aim of the invention is to configure a plug-in connection of this type in such a way that contact elements (24) of the first connector (12) are axially secured and the construction volume of the plug-in connection (11) is small. The first connector (12) has contact elements (24) which support interlocking bodies (44) in an end area (27) that faces towards the second connector (13). These interlocking bodies can be positively, axially covered over by means of an interlocking element (46) that is slidingly mounted on the first connector (12). A sealing element (19) that provides a seal between the two connectors (12, 13) is fitted in the interlocking element (46) in such a way that it axially follows on and is therefore physically close to the end area (27). As a result, the cup-shaped plug-in receiving element (16) of the second connector (13) that covers the sealing element (19) is axially reduced in size. The inventive plug-in connection (11) is preferably used in motor vehicles in limited installation conditions.
