[origin: EP1088778A2] The arrangement has a suction belt table (1) receiving sheets from one or more conveyor belts (7), a main suction chamber (11) and transverse suction chambers (13,14) near input and output sides. The transverse suction chambers are controlled by a common vacuum generator (6). The main suction chamber is connected to a separate fan (3). The suction chambers cover all conveyor belts simultaneously in the transverse direction to transport sheets. Independent claims are also included for the following: a method of operating a suction tape table.
