Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0000236A1] The present invention relates to disposable human waste management devices such as urine management devices and faecal management devices (10) which are provided with topical adhesives for attachment of the device to the skin. In particular the present invention relates to adhesives (20) which provide secure attachment and are pleasing to the skin upon application, yet cause no discomfort upon removal. This is achieved by selecting the chemical composition and rheological characteristics of the adhesives, particularly the viscous modulus G'' in combination with the thickness C of the adhesive layer applied to the flange (12) of the device (10) for attachment to the skin.
