[origin: WO9964140A1] The invention concerns a method which consists in: admitting, inside the container (10), a gas inert with respect to the hydrocarbon mixture, delivered under pressure; drawing (in 24) a fraction of said liquid hydrocarbon mixture; completely evaporating (in 26) said drawn liquid fraction, by bringing thereto a certain amount of heat then in expanding it, the amount of heat brought being higher than the loss in heat content incurred by the mixture fraction during its expansion. The invention is useful for calibrating chromatographs in gas phase.
