Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0000718A1] The invention relates to a tie rod used for construction purposes, especially to a tie rod constructed as a rock anchor constructed as an adhesive anchor. The tie rod comprises an anchor bar (10) which is made of a polymer composite, which has a serrated thread (12) on the end thereof situated on the side of the head, and which is provided for receiving a screw-down nut (16). The screw-down nut can be supported against a pressure plate (14) and is screwed onto the thread (12) of the anchor bar. In order to guarantee an especially efficient producibility without forfeiting tensile strength, the polymer composite of the anchor bar (10) comprises a plurality of reinforcing fibers (18). Said fibers are uninterrupted in the threaded area, are embedded in a binding agent matrix (20) made of thermoplastic material, and extend over the entire length of the anchor bar. The thread (12) can be formed in the anchor bar (10) without cutting by using pressure and heat.
