[origin: DE19828397A1] The antenna includes at least first and second separately formed radiation parts (1,2) which are coupled to each other. The coupling of the radiation parts is varied by twisting or shifting the parts to each other. The antenna provides a corresponding radiation characteristic to each degree of twist or shift. Preferably a cap is provided which covers the antenna. The coupling of the radiation parts can be an electrical coupling. The first radiation part is a helix (3) with a conductor part (4) at one of its ends. The second radiation part is a helix (5) with open windings (6) at one of its ends.
