The dishwasher is designed, so that in addition to the cleaning system (29) for the items (14) to be washed or cleaned, a unit (18,31,52,66) is provided for distributing a liquid and-or a gaseous medium (16), which forms a type of blocking carpet or curtain (36,58,65,72) to protect the opposite inner wall (11,12,21-24) of the dishwasher inner chamber (10) against contaminations (40, fig.6). At least one inner wall (11,12,21-24) of the dishwasher (10) is coverable by a blocking carpet (36,58,65,72) and-or is washable.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Spülmaschine (1), insbesondere gewerbliche Spülmaschine mit einem, wenigstens an einer Seite des Spülguts (14) angeordneten Reinigungssystem zum Waschen und oder Spülen des Spülguts (14). Hierbei ist eine Spülmaschine (1) zu entwickeln, bei der trotz optimiertem Reinigungssystem eine Verschmutzung der Innenwandung (11) wirksam verhindert wird. <IMAGE>
