The conveyor incorporates a suction belt table which has two vacuum-chambers positioned in the direction in which the flow of sheets is moving. The top side of the chambers forms the conveyor plane of the suction belt table. The chambers have openings. The at least one vacuum generator produces a flow of suction air through the chambers and the openings in the table and conveyor belts. the opening between the chambers act as suction space (2) in the middle part of the suction belts-table and as suction space (16,9) in the ends of the suction belts table.

Beschrieben wird ein Saugbändertisch, dessen Förderbereiche mittels entsprechender Mittel für unterschiedliche Betriebszustände selbsttätig wirkend mit unterschiedlichem Unterdruck versorgbar sein sollen. Dazu wird ein Saugraum 9 im Endbereich des Saugbändertisches mittels selbsttätig wirkender Druckausgleichseinrichtungen mit dem Saugraum 2 im Mittelbereich des Saugbändertisches gekoppelt. Die Druckausgleichseinrichtungen wirken so, daß ein höherer Unterdruck im Saugraum 2 diese öffnet und einen unterstützenden Saugluftstrom vom Saugraum 9 zum Saugraum 2 erzeugt. <IMAGE>
