Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19919035A1] The invention relates to an electronically commutatable motor whose excitation windings of the stator can be connected to a supply direct voltage in order to generate a rotary field for the permanent magnet rotor with a commutation frequency and which can be separated from said supply direct voltage. The excitation windings can be switched via semiconductor output stages which can be controlled by control signals having the commutation frequency of a control unit and whose operating conditions change according to a predetermined or predeterminable specified value. The disadvantages of motors having pulse-width modulated control of the excitation windings can be avoided by using a simplified motor control. To this end, the supply direct voltage is fed to a direct current converter whose output voltage for the semiconductor output stages with the excitation windings changes according to the specified value, and such that, independent of the specified value, the control unit fully controls the semiconductor output stages with non-clocked control signals having the commutation frequency.
