[origin: WO0002361A1] The present invention relates to a system and a device to increase the capacity of a mobile terminal to execute user applications or handle execution environments for user applications. This is achieved by providing a mobile terminal including an interface device, at which said device is designed for reception of an expansion module, and an expansion module including at least one circuit for storing of data, at which said module also includes an interface designed for connection to the interface device of said mobile terminal, and at which a connected module together with the mobile terminal forms an integrated hardware platform.
