Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2780888A1] The invention concerns a composition whereof the synergy of the constituents are designed for curative or preventive treatment of comedones. The composition which is preferably in the form of a lotion, mainly comprises nicotinamide, mandelic acid and C12-C13 alkyl-lactate (or lactate radical). The synergy of these three main constituents is further enhanced by the presence of two other alpha -hydroxy acids and salicylic acid, and by the gel consistence of the whole composition. More particularly and preferably, said composition comprises: A) three alpha -hydroxylated acids (AHA), and preferably: mandelic acid in proportions ranging between 2 and 6 %; citric acid in proportions ranging between 0.3 and 3 %; malic acid in proportions ranging between 0.2 and 2 %; B) nicotinamide, or nicotinic amide, (vitamin PP) in proportions ranging between 0.2 and 6 %; C) C12-C13 alkyl-lactate (between 10 and 14 %) in cyclomethicone (in proportions ranging between 18 and 22 %); D) salicylic acid (between 0.5 and 2 %). The composition can be in the form of alcohol fluid gel (lotion) or in the form of "creams", examples of such presentations are given by way of illustration.
