Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2779566A1] The invention concerns a circuit breaker comprising inside an interrupter chamber, a hollow arcing contact (3B) and an arcing contact in the form of a rod (5B) inserted in said hollow contact (3B) along an axial direction (A) when the circuit breaker is closed, and a blower tube (9) which is coaxial and integral with the hollow arcing (3B) and has a tube throat (9A) traversed by the rod-shaped arcing contact (5B), the hollow arcing contact (3B) and the blower tube (9) and the rod-shaped arcing contact (5B) being displaced along the axial direction (A) in opposite directions when the circuit breaker is opened. The invention is characterised in that the blower tube (9) is guided in translation along the rod-shaped arcing contact (5B) when the two arcing contacts (3B, 5B) move in opposite directions, thereby reducing the risk of contact or friction of the tube throat (9A) on the rod-shaped contact (5B), thus increasing the circuit breaker interrupting capacity.
