The mechanism includes first (102) and second (104) cutting blades. The first cutting blade is arranged to cut through all layers of the multi-layer tape. The second cutting blade is arranged to cut through one or more layers of the multi-layer tape, but leaving at least one layer intact and spaced at a location lengthwise of the tape with respect to the first cutting blade. An anvil holder carries first (106) and second (108) anvils arranged to cooperate respectively with the first and second cutting blades. The holder is mounted for rolling motion so that as the rolling motion widthwise of the tape occurs, the cutting operations are carried out. The first and second cutting blades are mounted on a common blade holder.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Schneidvorrichtung zur Durchführung von Schneidvorgängen an einem Mehrschichtband (T), wobei die Schneidvorrichtung eine erste Schneidklinge (102) und eine zweite Schneidklinge (103) aufweist, die erste Schneidklinge (102) so angeordnet ist, daß sie durch sämtliche Schichten des Mehrschichtbandes (T) schneidet, und die zweite Schneidklinge (103) so angeordnet ist, daß sie durch eine oder mehrere Schichten des Mehrschichtbandes (T) schneidet, dabei jedoch mindestens eine Schicht intakt läßt, und in Längsrichtung des Bandes von der ersten Schneidklinge (102) beabstandet ist. Um das Schneiden breiter Bänder zu ermöglichen, und dabei nur wenig Kraft zu benötigen, wird eine Amboßhalterung (104) vorgeschlagen, die einen ersten Amboß (106) und einen zweiten Amboß (108) trägt, die so angeordnet sind, daß sie mit der ersten Schneidklinge (102) bzw. zweiten Schneidklinge (103) zusammenwirken und derart rollbar gelagert sind, daß während der Ausübung der Rollbewegung über die Breite des Mehrschichtbandes (T) die Schneidvorgänge ausgeführt werden. <IMAGE>
