Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0065944A1] The invention relates to the insole (1) of a shoe that consists, at least from the zone of the arch of the foot (5) to the heel end (6), of a top layer (2) and a bottom layer (3). The aim of the invention is to improve such an insole in such a manner that it guarantees a good cushioning effect even if the shoes have thin soles that have only a poor cushioning effect. To this end, at least in the heel zone (9), the top layer (2) and/or the bottom layer (3) are provided with a recess (2.1; 3.1) into which a cushioning element (11) is stably integrated.
