In detail, it includes the construction of recombinant <i>E.coli</i> harboring L-arabinose isomerase, whole-cell conversion of D-galactose into D-tagatose by recombinant <i>E.coli</i> expressing L-arabinose isomerase, enzymatic production of D-tagatose by the extract of recombinant <i>E.coli</i> expressing L-arabinose isomerase, and bioconversion by immobilized L-arabinose isomerase.
