Abstract (en)
The press tool for bonding two pipe workpieces (2,3), in a cold shaping action, gives bonding zones at the circular outer circle shapes of the pipes (2,3) which are pushed into each other.. The press pads (10) match the outer cross section shape of the workpieces, when closed together, and can have openings (13,17). The press tool can also have two press pads (10) and a mounting bolt. On applying the press force (F), the cold shaping forces are transferred to the workpieces (2,3). The gap (A) between the press pads (10) is adjusted according to the mfg. tolerances of the workpieces (2,3).

Die Erfindung betrifft Presswerkzeuge zum kaltumformenden Verbinden von rohrförmigen Werkstücken (2, 3), deren Verbindungsbereiche mit kreisförmigen Aussenquerschnittsformen versehen und ineinander geschoben sind. Die Pressbacken (10) des Presswerkzeugs weisen im geschlossenen Zustand in etwa die Aussenquerschnittsform der Werkstücke auf und können mit Ausnehmungen (13, 17) versehen sein. Ein solches Presswerkzeug kann auch nur zwei Pressbacken (10) und einen Lagerbolzen (4) aufweisen. Durch in das Werkzeug eingeleitete Antriebskräfte (F) werden über dieses Kaltumformkräfte auf die Werkstücke (2, 3) ausgeübt. Je nach Fertigungstoleranzen der Werkstücke (2, 3) variiert der Abstand (A) zwischen den Pressbacken (10). <IMAGE>
