The kerbstone (1) consists of an elastic molding with a longitudinal bore (2) connected to a drainage channel and/or longitudinal slot. Adjacent kerbstones may be connected by profiles (3) inserted in the bore or the slot. The kerbstone may be made from recycled rubber or rubber granulate mixed with a polymer.

Es wird ein Straßenrandelement in Form eines Straßenrandsteins vorgeschlagen, welches ein elastisches Formteil bildet und vorzugsweise mit einem Längskanal (2) ausgerüstet ist. Das Straßenrandelement (1) lässt sich über ein Verbindungsprofil (3) fluchtend mit angrenzenden Straßenrandelementen verbinden. Der Längskanal (2) dient zur Aufnahme von verkehrstechnischen Einrichtungen und kann nach unten weisende Entwässerungskanäle haben. Das aus Recycling-Gummi hergestellte Formteil stellt aufgrund seiner Elastizität ein geringeres Unfallrisiko für Verkehrsteilnehmer und Fußgänger dar. <IMAGE>
