[origin: EP1096154A1] The hood (1) for a fan, in the cooling system for an internal combustion motor, has a fan ring (2) in a release mounting screwed to the hood (1). The fan ring (2) in the mounting position is in the gap between the hood (1) and the radiator. In the working position, the trailing edge (10) of the fan ring (2) is behind the trailing edge (11) of the hood (1), and back on the line of the fan axis. The fan ring (2) can be pulled back in a telescopic action in the working position. Guides (8) with guide pins are at the fan ring (2) and the inner periphery of the fan hood opening.
