Abstract (en)
The connector consists of a first series of contact elements connected to a corresponding second series of contact elements by means of conductors, in which said conductors and the said contact elements are, during the manufacturing process, still connected respectively to each other and to a common metal carrier strip by means of cross - and connecting pieces. The method is characterized by the fact that, in a final manufacturing cycles of the connector, the metal carrier strip, with the still connected contact elements, is put in a final operating position in a die, in which the cutting or punching of the cross - and connecting pieces takes place as well as the injection of plastic material. The solidified plastic material connects the contact elements with each other and maintains them on an accurate distance from each other. <IMAGE>
