Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0002517A1] The invention relates to a sterile connector for containers which contain medicinal liquids. Said connector comprises a base body (2) with a lower part (3) which can be inserted in the container wall and which can be sealed opposite the container wall. The container also comprises an upper part (4) having an outlet for the liquid. A barrier module (15) is provided on the lower and/or upper side of the base body. The barrier module is an injection molded part having a core (15a) made of a material which is essentially impermeable to certain gases, and having a sheathing (15b) made of a material of which the base body is comprised. Together with the barrier module, the connector offers an improved gas-tightness and can be economically produced in large quantities.
