Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19831144A1] The invention is based on a hydraulic control system for a hydraulically actuated clutch brake combination (13, 15) for the drive shaft (12) of a mechanical press. A known control mechanism of this kind has a source of a pressure medium with a hydraulic pump (25) and a hydraulic accumulator (26), for supplying a hydraulic actuator (18) with a pressure medium; a safety valve arrangement (44) with an intake connection (43), a flow path from the source of the pressure medium to the hydraulic actuator passing via said intake connection; and an adjustable pressure valve (33). The hydraulic actuator (18) is subjected to different work pressures in dependence on the adjustment of said pressure valve. The aim of the invention is to reduce the number of parts required compared to the known control system. To this end, the pressure valve (33) is a three-way pressure-regulating valve with a pressure connection (32) that can be connected to the source of the pressure medium, a tank connection (40) and a regulating connection which is connected to the intake connection of the safety valve device (44). There is no intervention in the connection between the safety valve arrangement and the hydraulic actuator as a result of this pressure-regulating valve and the way in which it is connected. When the pressure in the area of the regulating connection needs to be reduced, the hydraulic accumulator (26) is also blocked off and a flow path from the regulating connection to the tank connection is opened.
