[origin: WO9967107A1] The present invention relates to a vehicle restraint system (4) which comprises an airbag (6) into which an inflator can assembly (44, 46) may be placed. The inventive airbag (6) preferably comprises two body panels (30, 32), attached by one substantially straight seam (34), and a separator panel (40) which, upon folding and attaching of the two body panels sections (30, 32) of the airbag (6) produces a mouth (looped pocket) (42) for holding of the above-mentioned inflator can assembly (44, 46). Such an article allows for quick and complete inflation upon release of propellant and facilitates packing in a standard restraint system enclosure. The invention thus encompasses both the restraint system (4) and the airbag (6) itself.
