[origin: DE19831418A1] Individual shapes (9) are punched (4) out of substrate (1), adhesive layer (1) and intermediate layer (3) at equal intervals on the intermediate layer (3) and coherent residual material is drawn off as a lattice shape for further use and/or disposal, or alternatively a ready punched laminate is inserted in shapes (9) arranged on the intermediate layer (3). The shapes are adhered to the outside of a transfer roller (6) and the intermediate layer (3) can be peeled off by the deflector (8). The shapes are then coated onto the incoming end cover (26) acting as conveying belt (10) to give a flat intermediate product (13) which can be stored or further processed for final packing as the familiar flat end product (20). The residual material lattice strip is peeled off onto the adhesive side of the substrate (1) and reeled off.
