[origin: DE19812752C1] The engine has a sealing ring which is preloaded when then engine is stationary. On the cover side of the ring there are pressure equalisation grooves (33,35) which are connected to pressurisation ducts (34,38) in the seal ring (23) open to the pressure side. The static pressure in the interior volume (27) of the diagonal pressure ring (28) is equalised with the dynamic pressure in the pressure chamber (13).
