[origin: DE19830617C1] The aim of the invention is to provide a device for analyzing the articulatory movement between the upper jaw and the lower jaw, especially during contact of the teeth of the upper and lower jaw. Said device comprises two plates, designed to be placed into the upper and lower jaw, which have an emitter unit for emitting rays and a receiving unit for detecting the emitted rays. The receiving device for detecting the emitted rays comprises transmission means (200) for transmitting the measurement values detected during a movement to a computer (10). Said computer (10) comprises measured value detection means (100) which have emitter means (34) for emitting electromagnetic radiation. The emitter means (34) are to be positioned in proximity of the area of the oral cavity of the person to be examined and comprise an electronic circuit (36) with the aid of which the emitter (34) emits the electromagnetic radiation. The transmission means (100) comprise means (220, 230, 240) for absorbing the electric power output of the emitter (34) of the measured value detection means (100). The magnitude of the electric power output absorbed is controlled by the measurement values to be transmitted by the transmission means (200) to the computing means (10). The measured value detection means (100) comprise means (30, 32) for measuring the electric power output absorbed by the transmission means (200).
