[origin: WO9806639A2] An article carrier (10) for securing a plurality of articles has a base panel (22) having apertures (102, 104, 106) for receiving the articles, handle panels (16/18, 26/28) in face-to-face relationship with one another and connected to top-gripping means, the top-gripping means formed from a pair of inwardly sloping side walls (14/20, 24/30) being adapted to form an inverted "V" structure, each side wall connected to the base panel along the lower edge of the side wall and wherein each handle panel extends from the upper edge of each side wall, wherein the top-gripping means includes a pair of complementary top-gripping apertures (92 and 108, 90 and 110, 94 and 112) struck from respective ones of the side walls and adapted to engage and retain part of an article, and locking means (96, 98) extending from one of said apertures and located in the other of said apertures.
