The sink (1) has a basin (2) with drain outlet (4). It has an almost horizontal intermediate surface (6), which at least partially encloses the upper edge (7) of the basin and has two apertures (8,9) for taps or to serve as overflow. The outer edge of the surface is defined by a raised step (11), and step and surface form a chamber, which permits water to drain away through one of the apertures, when the drain is closed and the basin is full of water. The apertures are located in angled corner parts (15) of the intermediate surface, and the draining board (5) is slightly angled towards the apertures.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Spüle mit zumindest einem Becken (2), das mit einem am Boden befindlichen Abfluss (4) ausgestattet ist und wobei ein Überlauf vorgesehen ist. Wesentlich ist, dass die Spüle eine durchgehende oder zwei getrennte waagrechte Zwischenoberflächen (6) aufweist, die zumindest teilweise den oberen Rand des bzw. der Becken umschließen und in denen zwei gleiche Öffnungen (8, 9) angeordnet sind, die ohne Unterschied geeignet sind, entweder eine Armatur (10) einzubauen oder als Überlauf zu fungieren. <IMAGE>
