Abstract (en)

A tunnel boring machine is fitted with sensors to monitor the vibrations and reaction forces generated by the cutting head (1). The cutting head is mounted on an inner Kelly (4) that presses the head axially and is supported in the tunnel bore by extending radial struts (21). The sensors include strain gauge strips and displacement sensors and enable the control system to monitor the cutting action of the head, and vary the drive accordingly, e.g. to vary the cutting rate to match the varying density of the strata being bored.

Die Tunnelbohrmaschine (100) umfasst eine wahlweise in der Tunnelbohrung festlegbaren Verspanneinrichtung (20), die der Ableitung von durch den Bohrvorgang hervorgerufenen Reaktionskräften dient, eine in Bohrungsrichtung verlagerbare Innenkelly (4) und einen Bohrkopf (1), der am ortsbrustseitigen Ende der Innenkelly (4) mittels einer Lagereinrichtung (3) gelagert ist. Ferner umfasst die Tunnelbohrmaschine Mittel, die während des Betriebs vom dem Bohrkopf auf die Innenkelly übertragenen Reaktionskräfte erfassen, um so Belastungen, die über die Normalbelastungen des Bohrkopfes hinaus gehen, zu detektieren. <IMAGE>
