Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19833200A1] An aluminum-tin or aluminum-lead plain bearing alloy, which also contains iron and specified amounts either of manganese and silicon or of cobalt or molybdenum, is new. An aluminum plain bearing alloy, of composition (by wt.) 10-25 % Sn or 5-25 % Pb also contains 0.75-2.5% Fe and either (a) Mn and Si, each in amount at least half the Fe content, the Mn content being \}3% and the Si content being \}2%; or (b) 0.1-0.5% Co or Mo.
