Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0073118A1] The invention relates to a device consisting of a number of force sensors (4) which are configured as rail support slabs (3) and along the measuring section replace said slabs at the level of both rails (1). The electric signals emitted by the force sensors (4) are sent via pre-amplifiers (5) to a signal analyzer (6) which is connected to a computer (7). Relevant results generated by the computer (7), that is results indicating flat spots or even fractures of railway vehicle wheels, are transmitted by wire, fibre-optic cable or radio to a railway control station (8).
