Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0071945A1] The invention concerns a method for removing ice crystals which are formed on the surface of the heat-exchanging walls (2) of a generator (1), in contact with a diphasic liquid-solid refrigerant fluid. In order to remove the ice crystals formed, it consists in intermittently circulating in the generator (1) the refrigerant fluid at a speed higher than the nominal speed so as to generate turbulent flows which cause the formed ice crystals to be detached, by being pulled off and by heating the heat-exchanging walls. Preferably the rotational speed of the pump (8) circulating the refrigerant fluid is increased intermittently.
