Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1101525A1] A device for treating products has two parallel shafts arranged in a housing comprising two parallel cylinders. Rotating elements (64, 65) are supported over the periphery of the shafts. The shafts are sealed using a sliding ring seal and an end bearing is present that acts as a removal device. At least one of the rotating elements is provided with channel-like devices for introducing a thermal medium. The fixed bearing of the rotors are positioned in the housing of the sliding ring seal to increase the reliability of the seal. Preferred Features: A few of the rotating elements are segment plates which slant on its front surface parallel to the container wall in the axial direction.
