Abstract (en)
The bolt cutter has a pair of tubular metal handles (B1, B2), connected by levers (D, E) to jaws (2). Each of the levers is made from two pressed and treated flat metal plates (10, 11; 12, 13) cut from the same metal sheet. The levers are connected to one another and to the two jaws by pivots (5, 6a, 6b) at one end and to the handles at the other end by tongues inserted into the hollow tubes and fastened by compressing the tubes.

Dans ce coupe boulon, chacun des bras (B1, B2) est constitué par un tube métallique dont l'extrémité antérieure écrasée (15) contient, par emmanchement serré, deux tenons (14) faisant partie de deux pièces métalliques (10-11, 12-13) issues d'un même flan découpé, embouti et traité, pour former l'un des deux éléments d'articulation des bras, respectivement femelle (E) et mâle (D), chaque pièce (10 à 13) comportant deux branches antérieures formant, dans l'élément d'articulation femelle (E), deux chapes (7b, 8b) coopérant, celle intérieure (8b), à l'articulation des bras (B1, B2), celle extérieure (7b) à l'articulation d'une lame (2), et, dans l'élément d'articulation mâle (D), une chape extérieure (7a) coopérant avec une lame (2) et un tenon intérieur (8a) pénétrant dans la chape intérieure (8b) de l'élément femelle pour l'articulation des bras. <IMAGE>
