Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1101576A1] The bolt cutter has a pair of tubular metal handles (B1, B2), connected by levers (D, E) to jaws (2). Each of the levers is made from two pressed and treated flat metal plates (10, 11; 12, 13) cut from the same metal sheet. The levers are connected to one another and to the two jaws by pivots (5, 6a, 6b) at one end and to the handles at the other end by tongues inserted into the hollow tubes and fastened by compressing the tubes.
