Abstract (en)
The invention provides a keg hoist (1) for moving kegs (50) from an entrance hatch (4) in an exterior wall (3) to a exit opening (13) on a cellar floor (2). The keg hoist (1) comprises an open framework with uprights (14,15,17) and horizontal cross members. Endless chains (22) are mounted between sprocket wheels (21) and carry support bars (25) which support the kegs (50) and move them either down from the entrance hatch (4) to the exit opening (13) or, if necessary, in the opposite direction for removal of empty kegs. Various keg sensors (32,33) are provided. <IMAGE>
