The method involves transmitting a set of parameters and/or at least one codebook via a network (2) from a server (1) to a decoder (4) in a terminal (4). The speech output is personalised by decoding the codebook(s) using the set of parameters in the decoder. The speech is then output from the terminal. At least one codebook may be stored in the terminal. At least one parameter comprises an address for addressing the codebook in the terminal. At least one parameter comprises the pitch, loudness, and/or tone of the speech output. An Independent claim is included for a computer system for performing the method.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Steuerung einer Sprachausgabe mit einem Satz von Parametern zur Personalisierung der Sprachausgabe bei dem ein Satz von Parametern und/oder mindestens ein Codebuch über ein Netzwerk von einem Server zu einem Decodierer in einem Terminal übertragen wird. Die Personalisierung der Sprachausgabe erfolgt durch Decodieren des mindestens einen Codebuchs mit Hilfe des Satzes von Parametern in dem Decodierer. Anschließend erfolgt die Sprachausgabe an dem Terminal <IMAGE>
