[origin: WO0007892A1] The invention relates to a container for storing hydrous coating materials, comprising a container body (2) made of a plastic material and a base (3) which is either moulded directly onto the container body and made of the same plastic material or joined to the container body by crimping. The base consists of a metal which at least on the inside is coated with plastic. The container further comprises a top (1) which is joined to the container body by crimping and made of a metal which at least on the inside is coated with plastic. The top is either configured such that it is able to receive a press-in container lid (4a) or provided with another usual closing device (6, 4).
