[origin: WO0076020A1] The invention relates to a base station for mobile telephony. The base station comprises at least one electronics case, at least one antenna device and at least one cabling connecting the antennadevice to the electronics case. The base station may further be optionally provided with a cable duct through which the cabling extends at least partially. The base station is of modular composition, the electronics case and the antenna device each being separately loosely supported on a horizontal surface. For this, no fixed connection to the horizontal surface is established.
