[origin: DE19926171A1] The invention relates to an electric motor (10), notably a windscreen wiper motor for a motor vehicle. To be able to insert an armature shaft bearing (26) into an inaccessible bearing seat (32) located in a housing (16, 18) of the electric motor (10) the invention provides for the armature shaft bearing (26) to be axially fixed in the bearing seat (32) by means of a detent element (34, 36). This makes it possible for the armature shaft bearing (26) positioned on the armature shaft (14) to be inserted into the bearing seat (32) with the armature (12).
