[origin: EP1103215A1] Cleaning cloth is made from woven or knitted fibres, some of which are looped to form raised zones relative to background - higher recuperation zones and lower storage zones. Recuperation zones have parallel lines running in either lengthwise or transverse directions, and different zones are in form of checkerboard squares with each storage zone (2) located between two recuperation zones. The cleaning cloth (1) is made from woven or knitted fibres, some of which are looped to form raised zones relative to the background - higher recuperation zones (3, 4) and lower storage zones (2). The recuperation zones have parallel lines (5, 6) running in either lengthwise (C) or transverse (T) directions, and the different zones are in the form of checkerboard squares with each storage zone (2) located between two recuperation zones which have their parallel lines in different directions. The squares have sides of 1 - 5 cm, the difference in height between recuperation and storage zones is 0.5 - 10 mm, and the density of the parallel lines is 3 - 7 per cm.
