[origin: EP1103388A2] The file cover mechanism has a base plate (10) for fixing to a file cover (15). This base plate is at the same time part of an integrated hole punch. The spring force for opening the turning hoops (17) is supplied by compression springs (41) round the hole punches (39), pre-tensioning them in their initial position.
