Abstract (en)

The method for producing a rope or a rope element out of individual elements, in particular, strands consisting of a combination of a load-carrying plastic fiber and a surrounding thermoplastic material involves cooling of such individual elements (from their near-plasticization temperature) to a hardening temperature before they leave the stranding machine. Also claimed is a stranding machine for implementation of the proposed method. It is characterized by the presence of a cooling unit located after the heating unit.

Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Seiles oder eines Seilelements aus Einzelelementen, insbesondere Litzen, die aus einer Kombination tragender Kunstfasern und eines die tragenden Kunstfasern zumindest teilweise umgebenden thermoplastischen Kunststoffs bestehen, zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die Einzelelemente vor oder während des Verseilens zumindest bis in die Nähe des Plastifizierungszustandes erwärmt werden, und dass die Einzelelemente nachfolgend bis zum Verlassen der Verseilmaschine auf eine Verfestigungstemperatur des Kunststoffs abgekühlt werden. Das hierdurch hergestellte Seil oder Seilelement zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die Einzelelemente weitgehend eigenspannungsfrei darin vorliegen. Die zugehörige Verseilvorrichtung weist eine Heizeinrichtung, die auf die Einzelelemente wirkt, sowie eine Kühleinrichtung auf, die in Bearbeitungsrichtung nach der Heizeinrichtung angeordnet ist.
