Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19838239A1] The invention relates to a system for manufacturing dental prosthesis parts which are intended for prepared teeth, in the form of, e.g. crowns, crown structures, bridges and/or bridge structures. The aim of the invention is to minimise the material that needs to be processed in order to manufacture the dental prosthesis parts and at the same time, to increase the manufacturing precision. To this end, the inventive system comprises groups of blanks (12). The blanks of one group always have an identical inner and outer shape and one group of identically-shaped blanks is allocated respectively to at least two different types of teeth. The inner shape of each blank corresponds to the physiological boundary of the prepared dental form and is identical to or corresponds approximately to the pulp cavity of a young tooth of the smallest designated tooth type. The outer shape of each blank is identical to or corresponds approximately to the outer anatomical form of the largest designated tooth type in the case of a blank that is intended for a crown. In the case of a blank that is intended for a crown structure (20), said outer shape of each blank is identical to or corresponds approximately to the dentinoenamel junction of the largest designated tooth type.
