Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0010671A1] The invention relates to a building block system, especially a toy building block system, comprising a plurality of interconnectable building blocks (1), wherein each building block (1) has a grooved undercut slit (3) in which a connecting strip (5) with a cylindrical part can be inserted. The building block system can be used for multiple purposes, it is easy to use and offers various possibilities for positive-fit connection of two or more building blocks having different geometric design. According to the invention, the connecting strip (5) has a stop body (7) resembling the shape of a hammer head at least on one end of the cylindrical part (6), which can be inserted in corresponding dents (11) on the end of the slit (3) in the building block (1) when the connecting strip (5) is latched in the slit (5) of the building block (1) in positive-fit with the side surface (2) thereof.
