[origin: DE19837036A1] The edging material strip is applied to the narrow side of a panel-shaped work piece with groove for the fastener rib. The machine has a quick-change connection unit for an edge applicator etc. (6,7), fitted into the spindle unit of esp. a processing center. An edging material feeder device (2) feeds the material to an adhesive applicator (15), which has a guide unit (4) for the fastener rib. A pressure roller (16) presses the rib into the groove in the work piece and the edging material against the work piece edge. The material feeder has a transporter roller driven by the spindle unit and a counter pressure roller (3).
