Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0077320A1] The invention relates to a roof or ridge sealing strip, comprising two soft, air-permeable lateral areas (1) which include a metal strip (2) on the edge thereof and which, together with the metal edge strip (2) and a stiffer central support strip (3), are shaped into an undulated form (2). In the middle of the strip, the apexes of the crests (5) are glued together with a non-undulated cover strip (4) which is also made of a stiffer material and the troughs (6) of the undulations are recessed in a section of the support strip (3) which is overlapped by the cover strip (4), whereby ventilating ducts (10) extending between the edge (8) of the cover strip (4) and the edge of the recess (11) are formed with outer and inner openings which point towards each other, said ducts being arranged opposite each other in a perpendicular position with respect to the longitudinal extension of the roof or ridge sealing strip. In order to improve said ventilation ducts while, at the same time, offering maximum flexibility in the selection of material for the air-permeable lateral area, the lateral areas (1) are formed by two individual strips (13) whose interspaced edges (14) are located inside the ventilation duct associated therewith at a distance from the inner (11) and outer (12) openings.
