Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1491822A1] Two parallel electric circuits are supplied by a battery (1) via common control switch (2). One circuit energizes fuel valve (4) operating coil (3), other igniter circuit, which terminates in spark electrode (16), on insulated support (11) at bottom of burner (9). Series ignition circuit comprises oscillator (5), power unit (6) and step-up transformer (7), whose output (10) is connected to igniter (16). Fuel line (8) delivers fuel via control valve (4) and heat exchanger at base of which it enters, near air delivery point. Turbulence is created in fuel mixture flow by steel sphere (12) mounted near igniter. An independent claim is also included for the burner.
